Personal - Snakeskin Halftone.

Experiment in painting a halftone image over a painted canvas. Could improve this idea by using a more recognisable halftone image.

The distinct feature of large halftones is that images look clearer the farther away you are. I have tied this idea with the serenity of an aquarium, advising viewers to 'take a step back' to see the clearer picture. For (fictional) 'The Tank Aquarium: Bristol'.

In relation to the fact large halftones look bigger the further one is away, there was a challenge to make a font with the smallest resolution, whilst remaining recognisable. I managed to scale down to 3x3. Our logo is an overlap of S T S (SilverToothStudio) in this font. To get to this point, I made another font with a larger resolution, which is just as interesting, but bares too much of a resemblance to the 'Tate Modern' logo to be used as our universal typeface.
